My name is Donato Loia and I am second-year PhD Candidate at the University of Texas at Austin. In my interdisciplinary research, I seek to combine philosophical speculations and visual studies, and I work chiefly on Modern and Contemporary Art with an emphasis on theories of the “secular” and the “sacred,” along with issues of “subjectivity.”
