Mgr. Ondrej Marchevský, PhD.
In 2004 – 2009, he studied at Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov in Prešov in the teaching programme in combination of philosophy – history (Mgr.). The title of his master thesis was Philosophical reflection of history of early period of Narodism. In 2009 – 2013, he continued studying at Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov in Prešov in the study programme 2.1.3 history of philosophy, the third degree of university education (PhD.). His dissertation thesis was entitled Philosophical Reflection of History in the Works of Representatives of Core of the Russian Narodism. Currently, he works as a research assistant at the Department of Civil Education at the Institute of Political Sciences, Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov in Prešov. He theaches following courses: Introduction to Philosophy, History of Philosophy I, II, III, Philosophy of Postmodernism, The theory of Argumentation, The introduction to Logic, Ethical problems in the history of Philosophy. The subject of his research interest is history of Russian philosophy in the second half of 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Central attention is paid to the phenomenon of Russian Narodism and its reflection in the philosophical thoughts. He has participated at several, semester long, research and study stays abroad: Uniwersytet Jagielloński (Cracow, Poland) and Rossijskij Universitet Družby Narodov (Moscow, Russia). He actively participates at numerous domestic and foreign scientific forums: Nižnij Novgorod (Russia), Samara (Russia), Lublin (Poland). He is a member of Slovak philosophical association and Russian philosophical society.
