DANIEL MARTÍN SÁEZ is graduate in Musicology and Philosophy and has two masters. He works at the Autonomous University of Madrid from 2014, where he is finishing his doctoral thesis, The Birth of Opera and the Legitimacy of the Modern Age. He has taught "Estética y Pensamiento Musical" in the Double Degree in Musicology and Philosophy at the Autonomous University (2016-2017), and "Ópera e Historia" in the Master of Poetics of History at the Complutense University of Madrid (2014-2015).

He has also been VSRC in the Music Department of Princeton University and has made a research stay in the Humanistic Studies Department at the University of Ferrara. His last article is "The Legend of Farinelli in Spain: Historiography, Mythology and Politics" (Revista de Musicología, XLI, 1, 2018). He is also editor and translator of JAMES O. YOUNG, Filosofía de la Música. Respuestas a Peter Kivy (Calanda, Logroño, 2017), and translator of EVA BRANN, La Música de la República. Ensayos sobre las conversaciones de Sócrates y los escritos de Platón (PUV, Valencia, 2015).

Editor in Chief of Sinfonía Virtual. Revista de Música Clásica y Reflexión Musical (ISSN 1886-9505) from 2006, he also belongs to the Editorial Board of La Torre del Virrey. Revista de Estudios Culturales (ISSN 1885-7353), where he is in charge of Music Studies. He has participated in numerous international congresses on Philosophy, Musicology, Philology and History of Science in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Brazil.
